As the senior finance owner within the business, you will have responsibility for financial control, reporting, planning, cash management, payroll, tax, revenue recognition and finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
You will be expected to personally own and execute core finance activities while making effective use of external accountants, tax advisers, payroll providers and other specialists where appropriate.

• Lead the Group’s budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support growth initiatives and key business decisions.
• Provide clear visibility of financial performance, risks, opportunities and cash requirements.
• Develop the financial processes, controls and reporting infrastructure required to support the continued growth of the business.

• Own the end-to-end finance function across all Group entities.
• Manage multi-currency general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations and Group consolidation.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Maintain the integrity of the P&L and balance sheet and ensure financial records remain audit-ready.
• Establish and maintain appropriate financial policies, controls and approval processes.
• Remain hands-on with the underlying accounting and finance operations where required.
Revenue & Regulatory Reporting
• Own B2B revenue reporting across multiple operating jurisdictions.
• Ensure revenue is accurately attributed across customers, products, entities and regulated markets.
• Maintain appropriate revenue recognition policies and accrual-based accounting aligned with operational performance.
• Oversee regulatory tax calculations and reporting associated with revenue across relevant gaming jurisdictions.
• Ensure appropriate cross-border VAT treatment, working with specialist advisers where required.
Corporate Tax & Compliance
• Own the Group’s corporate tax strategy and compliance framework.
• Coordinate corporate tax requirements across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Work with external tax advisers to ensure appropriate and commercially efficient tax treatment.
• Oversee the financial and tax considerations associated with the Group’s software IP, including applicable IP regimes.

• Maintain appropriate short and medium-term cash forecasts to support business planning.
• Manage accounts receivable, collections and working-capital performance.
• Establish appropriate processes for overdue balances and formal write-offs.
• Provide leadership with early visibility of material cash-flow risks or requirements.
Cost Centre & OpEx Management
• Provide clear visibility of expenditure across departments and operational areas.
• Maintain appropriate reporting across employee costs, international contractors, third-party services, software and tools, hardware and other operating expenditure.
• Own the Group’s cost-centre structure and cost-allocation framework.
• Partner with budget owners to improve forecasting, cost accountability and expenditure control.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising operational performance.
Payroll Management
• Own and oversee payroll across Group entities and relevant jurisdictions.
• Ensure employees and contractors are paid accurately and on time.
• Oversee payroll taxes, statutory deductions, benefits and associated reporting obligations.
• Coordinate local payroll providers, accountants and advisers where required.
• Maintain appropriate payroll review, approval and reconciliation controls.
Vendor & Spend Management
• Maintain financial oversight of key vendor and supplier arrangements.
• Oversee third-party pass-through billing and external consultancy retainers.
• Ensure expenditure is appropriately authorised, allocated and reconciled.
• Maintain effective invoice verification and approval controls.
• Support commercial teams with the financial review of material supplier arrangements where appropriate.
Audit, Statutory Reporting & External Advisers
• Coordinate statutory accounts and external audits across Group entities.
• Ensure financial information and supporting documentation remain audit-ready.
• Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers, payroll providers and other finance specialists.
• Determine when specialist external advice is required and manage that support effectively.
Finance Systems & Continuous Improvement
• Continuously improve the efficiency and scalability of finance operations.
• Identify opportunities for automation across accounting, reconciliations, reporting, invoicing and other financial processes.
• Improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of management information.
• Build a finance operating model capable of supporting the Group as it grows in scale and complexity.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting capability with commercial and strategic thinking.
You will be comfortable taking full ownership of the finance function and operating in an environment where you need to move between detailed financial work and senior-level decision support.
You will ideally have:
• Significant experience in a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar senior finance role.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong technical accounting and financial-control experience.
• Experience managing month-end, consolidation and management reporting across multiple entities.
• Experience operating in an international and multi-currency environment.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition, cash-flow management, working capital and financial controls.
• Experience overseeing payroll and working with external payroll providers.
• Practical knowledge of corporate tax and VAT, with the judgement to recognise when specialist external advice is required.
• Experience managing external accountants, auditors and tax advisers.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial-modelling capabilities.
• Confidence partnering with senior leadership and translating financial information into clear commercial recommendations.
• A strong process-improvement mindset and an interest in using systems and automation to create an efficient finance function.
Experience within B2B technology, SaaS, gaming, gambling or another regulated international industry would be highly advantageous.
What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will establish a finance function that gives the business confidence in both its numbers and its financial decision-making.
You will ensure that:
• Leadership has timely, accurate and meaningful financial information.
• Month-end and Group reporting are controlled, efficient and reliable.
• Cash flow and working capital are actively managed.
• Revenue, payroll, tax and regulatory financial obligations are appropriately controlled.
• Departmental expenditure and budgets are clearly understood and accountable.
• Financial risks are identified early and communicated clearly.
• External advisers are used effectively without creating unnecessary dependency.
• Finance processes become increasingly automated and scalable.
• The business has a clear financial plan to support its growth.
Most importantly, you will be expected to own Finance end-to-end — personally getting into the detail when required while providing the strategic financial leadership the business needs as it grows.
